The story so far

Reed Lightfoot is a New Orleans-born singer-songwriter who blends rock, soul, R&B, blues, jazz, pop, electronica and folk into a sound he calls a “bowl of gumbo.”

Twenty-plus years of playing have sanded the songs down to what matters: sharp writing, a warm New Orleans groove, and an ear that refuses to pick a lane. New Child in 2012 and Shelter. in 2021 mapped two very different sides of that — the first spare and searching, the second fuller, later at night, and more sure of itself.

Marengo, out December 18, 2026, is the loudest thing he has made. A rock record about cheating, partying, anger and death, written without much interest in flattering anybody involved.
